Najeda Cerda

I’m originally from Barcelona, Spain, and currently work as a preschool art teacher with additional studies in art therapy. Growing up immersed rich cultural and artistic energy deeply shaped my life and continues to influence my lifestyle as a mother and teacher. My passion lies in applying creative exercises and exploring the works of artists to inspire both children and adults. I met Caroline at an expressive arts workshop I hosted, where we connected over our shared belief in creativity as a powerful form of self-expression. Together, we’re launching a project aimed at creating a meaningful and inspiring art space for the community.

Caroline Truong

Artist & Muralist

I began a career as an elementary art teacher fresh out of college in 2007. While I loved the kids and the subject, I soon realized it wasn’t the right fit. Looking back, I see that I lacked a true connection to the purpose of creating art and its relevance to careers, lifestyle, and personal well-being. I was teaching without understanding the deeper benefits of art.

Changing career paths gave me the space to start making art for myself—something I hadn’t done as a teacher or student. Free from academic rubrics and objectives, I explored my creativity by living abroad, immersing into different cultures, discovering my family’s roots in Vietnam, and meeting people in our diverse arts community. This opened my eyes to the limitless possibilities and real-world impact of visual arts in everything, everyone, and everywhere, and the value of sharing this benefit with others.

The Painter’s House grew from this journey—a space for all to rediscover their inner artist, share ideas and nurture creativity in a close-knit environment.
